The Triangle of Transcendence
Browsing the web I happened upon an excellent blog devoted to self-transcendence -

While jogging, musing on the subject brought to mind an informal talk Sri Chinmoy gave recently on the subject, in which he identified three qualities essential to self-transcendence.
These are: Enthusiasm, Dynamism and Joy.
Together, these form the three points of what we might imagine as the Triangle of Self-Transcendence. Enthusiasm engenders dynamism, which in turn cultivates joy, which nurtures enthusiasm. Each quality grows out of and grows into the others, and where all three are present, self-transcendence is the inevitable outcome.
